Dear Brothers:

You will always have the poor among you ...

These sobering words from Scripture are indeed timeless. You need to only look as far as your community to see the poor are in our midst - in need of food. Thanks to Bill Kennedy and Jeremy Radford for chairing the Thanksgiving Food Drive last year - this annual event was successful.

Again this year, we are planning on having the Thanksgiving Food Drive next Saturday - November 19th. But in order for this event to happen, I need help.

Do I have volunteers to work this event? Phone calls will need to be made this week. We need drivers and folks to help make phone calls.

Knights of Columbus Council #6506 supports St. John LaLande Parish in Blue Springs, Misssouri.

Council Business Meetings are held at St. John LaLande Parish Center at 7:00 p.m. with the rosary at 6:45 p.m. These meetings are normally the 3th Thursday of each month.

We now have the activities calendar posted on the site. Check it out so you can stay active!

  • On Sunday October 30, two members of our Council received their 2nd and 3rd Degrees in the Knights of Columbus. They are Gary Olds and Charles Kirby. Be sure to congratulate them next time you see them.
  • Do you have pictures of the Knights in action. We would love for you to share. These can be in digital format on a USB memory drive or already posted on the web. We can link to them. Contact Phil Stock if you want to share.
  • Keep us informed. Anything that is going on let us know!
